Americana Gecko is an independent editorial publication covering American culture, U.S. manufacturing and American-made goods. Accuracy, clear sourcing and a visible line between reporting and opinion guide every story.
Reporting and sourcing
We favor primary sources: official product pages, company records, government guidance, public documents and direct statements from named sources. We verify names, dates, prices, locations and specifications before publication and link readers to the underlying material whenever possible.
Statements we have not independently confirmed are attributed to the company or source that made them. We do not present a brand’s marketing language as an established fact.
Made in USA coverage
When a company uses an unqualified “Made in USA” label, we compare the public evidence with the Federal Trade Commission’s official Made in USA standard. We distinguish final assembly from the origin of materials and components, and we identify gaps in the available sourcing information. A finished-product label is not treated as proof of the origin of every component.
Reviews, samples and launch coverage
We identify whether a story is reporting, launch coverage, an opinion piece or a hands-on review. We do not claim to have used or tested a product unless we have. If a company provides a product, travel, access or another benefit, that relationship is disclosed. Receiving a sample never guarantees coverage or a favorable conclusion.
Editorial independence
Advertisers, affiliates and commercial partners do not control our editorial conclusions. Paid or sponsored material is labeled clearly. Any relevant financial, affiliate or personal relationship is disclosed in the story.
Corrections and updates
Material errors are corrected promptly and transparently. Routine spelling, grammar and formatting fixes may be made without a note. See our Corrections policy for how to report a possible error.
AI and translation
Editorial responsibility remains with a human editor. Automated tools may assist with production or translation, but they do not replace source review, fact-checking or final editorial judgment. Translated pages identify English as the original and can be corrected when a translation is unclear or inaccurate.
